Specialist in Animal Husbandry and Application of Biotechnological Methods, Zoo-engineer
Yasin Gozalov is a specialist with over 35 years of rich scientific and practical experience in the fields of animal husbandry, poultry farming, and the application of biotechnological methods. Born in 1962, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Zoo-engineering at the Azerbaijan Agricultural Institute in 1986.
Main activities and achievements:
• Management experience: Since 2021, he has been serving as the Head of the Scientific Department at the Research Institute of Animal Husbandry (RIAH). Previously, he held the positions of Head of the Department for Genetic Research and Application of Biotechnological Methods, as well as the Department for Application of Scientific Research and Information at the institute.
• Professional activity: He served as a zone manager at the Siazan Broiler poultry factory (1986–1991) and as a researcher at RIAH in the fields of poultry farming and meat product technologies.
• Awards: In 2021, he was awarded a “Certificate of Honor” by the Agrarian Science and Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture for his productive activities in the field of genetic research.
International and local training:
• Trainer experience: He is a certified specialist who successfully completed the Ministry of Agriculture’s “Training of Trainers” (ToT) program. He is authorized to provide consultancy services to farmers and specialists in this field.
Scientific contribution and practical experience:
• Publications: He is the author of 2 books, more than 30 practical recommendations, and over 100 scientific and journalistic articles. He has extensive experience in applying scientific innovations to production and preparing information fact sheets in animal husbandry.
• Specialization: He possesses professional knowledge in the management of animal genetic resources and animal product processing technologies. He has a good command of the Russian language (B2 level).
Currently, alongside his scientific leadership, he continues to work as a consultant expert in the application of modern biotechnological methods and information support in animal husbandry.
